TriStar Greenview - April 01, 2019

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital hosted local area high school students interested in healthcare careers on March 5, 2019 for an in-depth career shadow day at the hospital.

In conjunction with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce, students from Warren Central, Warren East and South Warren High Schools participated in the SCK Launch Healthcare career shadow day with healthcare professionals at TriStar Greenview. Each student got a real life day in the life" experience of what it is like to walk in the shoes of multiple career paths available at a hospital.

While on site, students toured several key departments such as Cardiac Cath Labs, Endoscopy, Imaging and Laboratory departments. Students also got to experience daily requirements of surgical staff by going through a sterilization process and suiting up in protective gear in order to tour limited parts of Surgical Recovery and Sterile Processing departments.

TriStar Greenview healthcare colleagues were proud to introduce our local area students to various career jobs. Students spoke first hand with cardiovascular techs, phlebotomists and medical laboratory technicians, registered nurses and certified registered nurses, radiology and ultrasound techs, endoscopy surgical techs and sterile processing tech and an anesthesiologist.
