Do you think you might have a hernia? Common symptoms for hernias include nausea, groin pain, and a bulge in the lower abdomen. Join TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital on Wednesday, June 20 for a FREE hernia educational program to learn about hernia detection and treatment. The program will take place a 5:30 p.m. in TriStar Greenview's Community Education Classroom. Refreshments will be served.
Dr. Tage Haase, M.D. and robotic-trained general surgeon, will present education on hernias and the seriousness if left untreated. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn what hernias are, how they are diagnosed and learn about the latest minimally invasive treatment options available.
Hernias are a common but often misunderstood condition, presenting symptoms such as swelling, a bulge in the abdomen, pelvis or groin area; pain or discomfort, especially when bending over, coughing or lifting; weakness, pressure or a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen and/or acid reflux, chest pain or difficulty swallowing. Left untreated, a hernia can lead to more serious, life-threatening conditions.
