TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital announced its annual HCA Awards of Distinction program recipients. Frist Humanitarian Awards, Excellence in Nursing Awards and Innovator Award recipients were eligible for the nationwide 2015 HCA Awards of Distinction, the highest honor at HCA, parent company of TriStar Greenview.
The Frist Humanitarian Awards were created to recognize one employee, one physician and one volunteer at each HCA-affiliated facility who demonstrate extraordinary concern for the welfare and happiness of patients and their community. The Frist Humanitarian Awards are given annually in recognition of the humanitarian spirit and philanthropic work of the late Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Sr., a founder of HCA.

- Vivian Simmons – dietary office coordinator
- Mark Jessen, MD – general surgeon
- Andy Toopes – volunteer chaplain
The Excellence in Nursing Awards celebrate the extraordinary clinical and compassionate care delivered by HCA nurses every day.
Excellence in Nursing Award Recipients
- Ancillary Nursing Personnel Award : Earline Smith, CNA – fourth floor assistant
- Compassionate Care Award: Lora Coles, RN – resource staff nurse
- Professional Mentoring Award: Julie Keown, RN – critical care nurse
The Innovators Award acknowledges employees who share innovative ideas to improve patient quality, service or efficiency of company operations.
